Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette Review

I had been meaning to experiment with contouring for a while when I was browsing Superdrug and I stumbled across the Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in Golden Sugar.

The palette has eight different shades; 7 are shimmer and one brown shade which is matte. As I wasn’t too confident with contouring I didn’t want to spend loads on a product that I wouldn’t end up using which is why this palette was perfect. It only cost £6 and even if I didn’t use it very often it’s still pretty to look at!

I have used this a couple of times now, I use the matte shade very lightly to contour; applying a small amount of product and blending out to ensure there are no harsh lines. Something I was quite surprised about is that the colours actually suit my skin perfectly; I’m always worried that things are going to look a bit too dark/orange on me as I am really pale but this palette works well with my colouring.

As with all Makeup Revolution palettes this has a HUGE mirror in the lid which makes the palette the perfect product to take on trips away. You have your contour shade and your blush all in one place. You can also use the white shade to highlight.

As you can see from the swatches, the pay off on these powders isn’t the best and for a dramatic look you would definitely need to spend some time on building the colour up. That being said, the fact that they’re not too pigmented means they are fab for a subtle, day time look.

I have got a lot more use out of this palette than I thought I would when I first bought it and it’s fast becoming one of my favourite products. Makeup Revolution have nailed it once again!

Have you tried one of the Ultra Blush Palettes? If you have, let me know what you thought in the comments!
