What I got for Christmas

I really enjoy reading other people’s posts about what they received as gifts; mainly because I am super nosey. As I enjoy reading them so much it made sense to write one of my own! I appreciate we are now over a week since Christmas so this may be a little late but I wanted to enjoy the time I had off work and not worry/stress myself out with the pressure of blogging about what I received straight away.

One of my pet peeves at the moment is fellow bloggers feeling as though they need to state that they’re not bragging before their posts. I had a bit of a rant about this the other day on Twitter as I personally think it’s really sad that people feel they have to say they’re not bragging for fear of people being nasty about what they received. I think at the end of the day it all boils down to jealousy and those people making nasty comments only do so because they had a miserable Christmas.

Right, rant over! Let’s get onto what I received! Just an FYI; I haven’t included everything I received in this post, mainly because the light is crap for photos at the moment so taking loads of pictures just leaves me feeling demotivated!

My favourite gift I received this Christmas are these gorgeous, baby blue Skull Candy headphones. I’ve wanted a pair of headphones for a while now as I was using a cheap pair of earphones from New Look that were really hurting my ears and these are just amazing. They came with a matching pouch which means I can shove them in my bag without worrying that they’re going to get damaged. They also fold up so they don’t take much space up in my bad which is ideal. The sound quality of the headphones is fab and I just love them.

If you have read my previous post about Disney Vans (see here) you’ll know that I am a huge fan of Disney Vans. This pair with Belle on were a huge surprise when I opened them; I had no idea I’d be getting them and I am so, so happy I did! Slip on Vans are the style I find most comfortable so these will definitely be getting a lot of wear.

I also got a few small bits and pieces; mainly make up and socks. If you follow me on Twitter you’ll know that I am obsessed with socks. I honestly can’t get enough of buying them so I was thrilled that I received loads of socks. Despite the fact that most of the socks are Christmas themed I will still wear them throughout the entire year.

Anyone that knows me knows that I love pugs. To say I’m obsessed is an understatement! My best friend got me this pug cushion and I love it so much. I now have a total of three pug cushions and they all sit happily on top of my pug covered pillows.

Owls are another love of mine; mainly because my late grandmother loved them. She was always collecting little owl ornaments, plates, pictures; you name it, she had it. Owls are my way of remembering my Gran so I was over the moon when my Auntie gave me this gorgeous owl tea light holder. It’s a lovely colour and now takes pride of place on my bookshelf.

I am always trying to find ways of saving money so this little change tin is perfect. There is no way of opening the tin without cutting it open so it makes it easier to save until it’s full rather than dipping in every now and then when I’m a bit short on cash.

Overall, I had an amazing Christmas and I am thrilled with the gifts I received. What did you guys get this Christmas? Let me know in the comments!

How awesome! You got some fab presents. I’ve been wanting some headphones but don’t want Beats as they’re way too expensive so I’ll check them out. My bestie is obsessed with Pug’s so I bought him a Pug doorstop (amongst other things) and it’s super cute.

I love those shoes and the keyring! I have a pair of folding Skullcandy headphones (though not as cute as yours) and they’re so comfy, plus great that they fold up! xx
